ISRAEL UNDER ATTACK

Israel is under attack by ruthless Hamas terrorists. Thousands of rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel, and there have been attacks from various fronts, including the land, sea, and air. The number of casualties, injuries, and kidnappings is heartbreaking. In response to these grave threats, Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared a state of war, and the reserves have been called up to protect our homeland. Israel’s security cabinet unanimously voted on Motzei Shabbos to declare a war, Operation Iron Swords – a first since the Yom Kippur War in 1973.

In times of such unprecedented unrest, it is essential that we come together as a community to offer support and solidarity. It is a time when we need to strengthen our faith and unity. We would like to share with you the timeless guidance of our revered Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M Schneerson during times of crisis:

"Take Up Arms": In moments of uncertainty and danger, the Rebbe would emphasize that we should "take up arms." While this phrase may not always refer to physical weaponry, it is a call to action for us to strengthen our resolve and faith, standing firmly in support of Israel.

1. Daily Tefilin Gatherings: Starting tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, we will be holding daily tefilin gatherings at Central Mass Chabad, 22 Newton Avenue, Worcester. We strongly encourage all Jewish boys and men to attend these gatherings as an act of faith and solidarity.

2. Lighting Shabbat Candles: Additionally, we urge all women and girls to continue lighting Shabbat candles as a symbol of hope and unity. In times of darkness, the light of our candles can shine as a beacon of strength and resilience.

These actions are not just religious observances; they are acts of unity and defiance against those who seek to harm our people and our homeland. Together, we can show the world that we stand strong, united, and unwavering in our support for the people of Israel.

Contributions to Help Victims and Soldiers: If you would like to contribute to support the victims and soldiers affected by these attacks, you can send your donations to the Chabad Victims of Terror Fund.
